In 1946, with only his army uniform filling his wardrobe, Len Kittle (Peter's Father) travelled by horse and train to Melbourne with the objective of being appointed the General Motors (Holden) Dealer for Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory.
After meeting with General Motors, Len came out of the Head Office as a General Motors Dealer.
This was the start of a successful and respected career for Len in the Northern Territory and remote Australian regions, and the start of the name Kittle in the Automotive Industry.
